Generally, I enjoy creating immediate value and helping build companies. Transferring knowledge, skills and experience to startups allows me to do that. I also love the passion, fast pace and “getting things done” mentality of these companies.

I once read a job ad (from a startup) that said this:

“You’re the kind of person who thanks your lucky star to live in the age of the web since everything is producing data that’s just waiting to by analyzed. You’re exceptionally organized, passionate about detail and hungry for new input. You love the latest web tech and all the new juicy ways of tracking and analyzing all parts of your app, no matter if they’re on your domain, over an API or via a widget.”

This characterizes me to some extent and thus gives you an impression why I enjoy Web Analytics. I am passionate about actionable insights that deliver tangible value (for the business and its users) and not pure reporting/analysis.

Web Analytics (and, to some extent, Social Media) are what got me started working in the digital space. I have also overseen and optimized large scale digital marketing campaigns, but realize this is of limited utility for most startups. Thus I became more interested in helping to build user-centric products and companies that are able to grow organically and I am now focused mostly on strategy development and lean concepts for startups.

Since starting as an independent consultant in Montréal, Québec, I have advised over 40 companies globally, ranging from small, local business to high-growth, international web startup.

I studied business administration with a focus on Marketing and Corporate Finance at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, ESCP Europe (Paris campus) and HEC-Genève obtaining a Master’s degree (“Diplom-Kaufmann”).

I worked in marketing for a premium automobile company in Munich and Beijing, as well as a consulting company in Mergers&Acquisitions in Frankfurt.  I was also an employee of a music software company in New York City and various small ones in Berlin.

Really, all that doesn’t say too much. We should just meet online or offline and talk.
I always enjoy meeting and trying to help people from the community even if it doesn’t turn into projects (which is mostly the case).
I am currently living in Berlin, but it doesn’t matter where you are.
